Born out of Bainbridge Island, WA, now based out of Seattle’s industrial district, Studio Fritz handcrafts objects with a singular demeanor. That character emerges through an emphasis on form, restraint, and a modest yet distinct presence.

Lucas Fritz Weyand is a fine furniture artisan and owner of Studio Fritz.

Raised in a family of architects, spatial designers, and metal sculptors with a rich history of culturally significant contributions to Austrian architecture and infrastructure, Lucas developed an eye for tasteful, enduring design that informs his modern perspective on the built environment. Originally born in Pittsburgh, PA and raised on Bainbridge Island, WA, Lucas drew his early inspirations from both East Coast, Pennsylvania designs (from Kentuck Knob to Nakashima’s Conoid Chair) and West Coast organic design that reflects the rainy climate and tree dense environment.
